casio jam

still recording, still going well, still gonna be finished in a week or 2. not much more to report. we got some cool casios from the 80s this week. been having duels with who can get the deepest voice in the sample over write (lets you do 11 layers of voices!). sorry, bit of keyboard lingo there - been stuck in a small white room for too many hours

recording life

recording life is taking over.
sleep, eat, record, sleep, record, eat, sleep. apart from andrew who enlivens the process with some more of his idiosyncrasies, his most creative moments are when he's asleep, shouting ideas out from his dream-like stupor.

We're about 6 tracks down, few more to go!

hoonlight mours vid clip

So we're just back from melbourne after a few days filming the clip for moonlight hours.

Highlights included the rushed and umm interesting haircuts Kerridge and Simon got in Melbournes china town just before shooting started, the pumpkin soup that would roll out at midnight every night, comparing who had the puffiest eyes during filming at 5am, doing some interesting photos in a giant plastic bubble, and dealing with the angry Austrian neighbours who thought that "someone will certainly die! Blah!" (said in a dracula voice) with regards to extension chords running everywhere...

We'll put up some photos soon, otherwise you can check out the clip in about a week!

album update

hey everyone
so weve decided the best days of summer are behind us and its finally time to buckle down and record our debut album.

the first taste is out now in the form of Moonlight Hours, and the rest of the album is now ready to go so over the next few weeks we'll be recording and producing it ourselves at home in our french colonial inspired studio...

we'll be adding lotsa photos and comments over the next few weeks so check back to hear how its going (we might even sneak a new song up on myspace for a day or 2), and in no time at all you'll have our lifes work in your hands!
